DAISO

Have been working at DAISO for 4 days. And yes! It's been tiring. Trish was the one who recommended me the job. Bascially our job scope was to count Daiso stocks, which means stock taking. Seriously, it's a tiring job. Damn tired on the first day of work. First, i have to wake up at 5am early in the morning just so i could reach Sembawang at 7.45am sharp on my first day of work. For that reason, i seriously hate travelling all the way to west side esp for work given the fact that i hv to travel to dover everday to sch.

Day 2 was the same thing. Travelling to west side agn. But fortunately, it wasn't at Sembawang but Jurong instead. Hence i was allowed to sleep more. Day 3 was much better. Was at Vivo. Could sleep even more. Day 4 wasn't as tiring as expected. Instead it was the my most fun day at work despite working overnight shift. Trish wasn't able to work on the last day cuz she has CO concert the following day. But i was lucky to have 2 companions anqi and xinrui as well as another grp of friends whom i came to know during my last day of work. Joked and laughed alot. Damn funny!

The pay at Daiso wasn't that great. FYI: We were paid at a rate of $4.50/hr from mon-wed. While thurs was $6/hr. Thurs was an overnight shift (from 10pm-7am). However the $6/hr rate of pay was from 12am to 7am, which means from 10pm to 12am we were paid at a rate of $4.50/hr. On top of that, Daiso has got lots of Rules & Regulations which we have to follow. Most importantly, miscounting wasn't allowed at all. Not even once. 3 times of miscounting and they will sent you back. Yes, it's that serious. They will also send u back if you report late for work or return late from break. They are just so particular with everything. And i did miscount once and was being warned. Luckily i wasn't sent back.

Was released early on last day of work at ard 6am, then was abt to headed to mac with the rest of the guys but realised that PS mac no longer 24hrs. So headed back home instead.

I don't know if i'll still work for Daiso agn for their next stock take. Hopefully i can still see familiar faces if im gg to work for their next stock take agn. =)

Just 3days back, i caught Bloody Valentine with Huaysze, Wanyu & Huimin. I swear that it's a great show worth watching. Both my hands were against my ears and mouth throughout the show. It's just so exciting that you won't know what's going to happen the next second. I guess 3D makes the movie even more horrifying.

I just checked mysas. Semester GPA is 2.855 while Cummulative GPA is 2.938. A slight drop from last sem gpa which was 3.088. Got to strive harder in year2. =)

Ok. I know my blog is half-dead, infact it's dying. I was just too lazy to blog. But now i have the mood to blog cuz i just received my results through school's mail. What a disappointment! Seriously depressed right now...however i was kind of expected la given the fact that i didn't managed to complete my drawing. Hence i got a C+. And the next 2 C+ came from those 2 modules which happened to be the most important modules of all. I just suck at it when it comes to Law and ECT&P. ECT&P..you probably won't know how hard it can be. Or is it bcuz i just suck at drawing. I don't know. Law..hmm. Used to be my favourite module during the first sem or rather first term, reason being it was easy to study. But the law cases can make you go crazy. There are tons of law cases for you to memorise. Yes. It's a torture. Last C+ is GEMS-Mktg. That one i can't be bothered. The assignment was done at the very last minute. So the grade was expected. No more C+ already. I have got some As and B as well la. 2 As from BSI & CD. And a B for IT which was a surprise for me.

My conclusion: Sem 2 results is indeed a far cry from Sem 1.

yet im not happy at all. Instead im quite stress since ytd aft my paper. I had Design & Drawing ytd. The module is somewhat easier to score as compared to the rest of the papers. Cuz 60% of our overall marks are based on our tutorials. The sad thing was i didn't manage to complete the test. The time given is actually sufficient. It was my mistake for under estimating the time needed. 2 of my drawings were only half completed. Sad la! I know i shouldn't brood over it since it's alr over. But still i can't stop myself from thinking abt it. And for tt, i didn't feel like studying for law ytd. I have no mood at all. Even when i wake up this morning, i still thought abt it. I hate myself. Just bcuz i was nervous...and there goes everything.

FTT

I skipped tutorial and gems ytd.

Reason being i went to sit for my FTT.

And sadly, i failed. =(

I knew it right from the start tt i won't be able to pass cuz not much revision had been done. But at the same time i thought miracle would happen for the first time. Blame myself for doing a very last minute kind of revision. The options were tricky too. How not to fail?

Guessed i was lucky to have passed my BTT at my 2nd attempt. Bascially the qns i sitted for at my station were super easy.

Anw i alr re-booked my FTT and coincidentally it happened to be on the same date as Trish! The only difference is she will be sitting it for the 1st time. And aft much contemplation, i decided to apply for PDL as well. Hopefully i will get familiar with everything and it will make my life easier when im revising for FTT. And hopefully i will be able to pass at my 2nd attempt. Really can't afford to fail again cuz it's seriously a waste of money and a waste of time!

Welcome 2009!

Welcome to 2009! First of all, let me wish all of u HAPPY NEW YEAR! and may it be a wonderful year to all!

Countdown was what my friends & i did to welcome this new year. Actually to be exact, we were only watchining fireworks. I didn't even bother to look at the time before it finally striked 12. We also watch 'Australia' as well, which i think was a boring show. I was quite tired throughout that 3hrs and i even fall asleep.

We then slacked at Starbucks until 2plus (Oh ya must thank evan for the drinks! thanks ah!) It was damn suay la.. Can't even manage to hail a cab when we wanted to get back home. Hence we got no choice but to walk back. It was until when we reach Lavaender that we managed to take cab home. All thanks to huaysze's sis for the cab aft she alighted. But poor yaseer, evan & weijie who have to walk futher down the road before they managed to get a cab. In the end, i reached home at 4am.
